Khac’s Kitchen is a family-owned Lao dessert shop and takeout kitchen in Haltom City, Texas. Khac founded it to share the flavors she grew up loving in Vientiane, Laos, along with the Southeast Asian foods that have inspired her over the years.

After immigrating to the United States in the 1980s, Khac spent years recreating the desserts, snacks, and drinks that reminded her of home. What began as cooking for family and friends became Khac’s Kitchen in 2019: a wholesale bakery supplying traditional Lao desserts to businesses across DFW.

Today, we continue that wholesale work while welcoming customers to our Haltom City storefront on weekends. Khac runs the kitchen alongside her son Eric and Aunt Suae, with the rest of the family lending a hand. Together, we serve traditional sweets, handcrafted drinks, creative baked treats, and savory favorites shaped by our Lao roots and flavors from across Southeast Asia.

We also cater celebrations and gatherings. Whether you’re discovering Lao food for the first time or craving something that reminds you of home, we hope you feel welcome in our family’s kitchen.
